Actually, that's a side issue...the issue is more to Parkchester customers (Bx4A, but to me, it should be called the Bx44), and customers in Edgewater Park that have to ride to Pelham Bay Park and then double back to reach the supermarket at Crosby and Bruckner Boulevard. Since the Bx54 was cut through that area, the Metropolitan Avenue portion of it always had some route servicing it (that cut was probably poorly thought out).The Bx5 White Plains Road short turns are Bx54 remnants. |
