That would explain why I saw Academy buses handling charters for both Fairfield and Sacred Heart universities (the field hockey teams from both schools were in West Chester last weekend for games against WCU).That said, I seriously doubt that Trans-Bridge will be bought out by Academy, unless there's something that I missed. Now, if Academy wanted to buy out Krapfs, that's another story (the Philly bus fans will know what I mean). |

I also noticed that the SD9xx coaches have the Allison transmission, while the SD2xx coaches have the ZF Astronic transmission. I'm guessing these are Cummins engines (am I correct?) on all the single deck coaches. |

Maybe the Philadelphia runs could be extended trips from DC (for Richmond) or Pittsburgh (for Chicago). Or, as was noted elsewhere in this thread, Pittsburgh could become a transfer hub for a NYC-Chicago run to allow connections to Philadelphia.All I have to say is that if this NYC-Chicago Megabus run becomes a reality, I'd probably consider riding it. I've always wanted to go to Chicago, but it's kinda hard when you don't have the $$$ to get from Philadelphia. |

For a NYC-Chicago run, I could see Pittsburgh and/or Cleveland as potential stops. That said, even with the Philly-Boston direct run, there was still a driver change at a rest area on the Jersey Turnpike (it was the Grover Cleveland stop heading north; not sure the relief point heading south). |

Academy already has a facility in Westampton, just off Exit 5 of the NJ Turnpike on Highway 541. |
