Adam,You are correct. Academy is starting to over power Jersey's charter market and is making moves to take over the rest of the tri-state area INCLUDING New England. Academy has also made it known that they want to by out Golden Touch, Trans-Bridge and a few other properties. Academy has also under bidded NYAS for the Airport contract, so it looks like Jack may loose that service. Now back to Coach USA, they will retain any MCI D-Series Coaches left (18 @ Community Coach and I'm sure about the total at Suburban). Also Short Line has a surplus of equipment for charters as well. Also we are now in the low point of the Charter season so charter work isn't calling for mass bus requirements. Coach USA's focus is pointing away from the Charter market and more onto the Line Haul and Contract market. -Trevor |
