I don't believe the MTA plans a definite purchase of DesignLine buses at the present time.That doesn't mean the possiblity of a future deal with this manufacturer wouldn't be considered. |

I don't know which model DL will send to New York...it could be either of these, or a totally different model. The company has numerous bus designs. |

I don't think DesignLine would give the MTA 30 buses for free to test. I assumed the MTA would be buying these 30 buses. Did I assume wrong? The article states: "Thirty futuristic-looking 40-foot buses will roll out on local routes in Manhattan beginning this September if the MTA board approves a $50 million-plus contract for a two-phase pilot project next week." $50 million sounds like we're buying them... |
