The city acquired an amazing number of new buses between 1948 and 1950 including those C-45 Macks, Twins, the St. Louis 3000s, the GM 4000s and the Bingham C-50 Mack 5000s. I also remember 35' GMs numbered in the 2000s which ran in Queens in the late 1950s. Some of these several models ran well into the 1960s. Did any of them have a life elsewhere after their service in NYC? |
