In six months, the MTA will return perhaps 50 bus stops, with over 1,700 still being eliminated. There will be a few route modifications and the MTA will declare success by stating that buses are operating 10 percent faster or so (neglecting to mention it is less than 1 mph faster), even if most trips are taking longer and fares are increased for those needing an additional transfer after the second bus transfer experiment ends."Second bus transfer experiment?" What's that and how come I've never heard of it? |
