The name appears 2,000 times in the Long Island Star-Journal mostly in the late 1940s and early 1950s. I only viewed a few but found that many of the citations are of the Rosewood Inprovement Association, Rosewood-Utopia American Legion Hall, and of course, buses.The article below at provides an idea of the community's extent based on street improvements. It seems to coincide with Bayside Hills.
