Many of the redesign proposals (accepted and otherwise) might never have happened if the private companies were still in business. Pre-redesign and post-takeover examples include the extension of the Q19 to Flushing and the creation of the Q70.The rush routes that cover parts of formerly private routes would likely have run into opposition from those companies. |
