The Bx-3 - Prospect Avenue line is re-routed via Crotona Avenue and Fordham Road effective as of this date.Are you sure this was as of April 30, 1969? The Wikipedia page about Bronx bus history says (under its current designation Bx17) that it was moved off 187th St / Third Ave to Fordham Road in July 1974. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bus_routes_in_the_Bronx#History_of_current_routes And when I rode the route in early 1969, it was running on the former routing. I don't remember if that was before April 1969 (it probably was), but it seems unlikely to me that it was changed so soon afterward. |
