She would drive out of her way to get to a highway entrance even if she only had to drive 5 blocks on local streets. As an example, her in Bay Ridge, if she needed to go from 73 St to 78 St, she would drive 8 blocks down to 65 St get on the Belt Pky to the next exit which was about 105 St and drive back to 78 St. She was actually driving more on the streets doing it that way than if she had just driven straight down 5 av from 73 to 78. |
