Nor did 3 of my aunts. All born between 1930 and 1940. Maybe it’s a generational thing. My mother’s best friend from down the block started driving about 20-25 years ago and will not drive on a parkway or expressway. Everything is on a local street. And if she can avoid a stop sign in favor of a light, she’ll go out of her way to travel through the intersection with the light instead of the stop sign. |
