Some sections of the Second Avenue Subway tunnel were built in the 1970s. However I don't expect to be able to ride a train through them in my lifetime. It's a shame that something wasn't done after WWII to get this line built. However a lot of money was needed to fix the existing lines and subway cars and there wasn't enough to get everything done. |
