Posted by W.B. on Sat Feb 18 22:01:52 2017, in response to Re: Original MaBSTOA Route Assignments Help, posted by B53RICH on Wed Jul 22 18:44:20 2009. edf40wrjww2msgDetailB:detailStr After all routes got borough prefix designations in 1972, but before the 1974 route numbering changes, the Fifth Avenue/Jackson Heights #15 got designated as QM15 (due to the twin M15's of [NYCTA] First and Second Avenues and [MaBSTOA ex NYCO] 23rd Street crosstown), but that turned out to be duplicative of then-Green Bus Lines', now MTA's, Woodhaven/Lindenwood QM15 route; while the Elmhurst crosstown #16 was designated Q16 which was itself another duplication, as Q16 then as now is the TA's Fort Totten route. That the #16/Q16/Q89's ridership total was "light" is why that route no longer exists anymore.
