Nothing was disclaimed by the editor. I wrote the retraction and requested he use strikeout so as not to hide anything. All the editor did was print what I asked him to and apologize for the errors.

Are you trying to indicate that no publication ever has to print retractions for errors? We did the responsible thing and yet you find criticism.
