"And they were bad enough that got you punted from department to department."A total lie! I worked seven years at the Department of City Planning all in the Transportation division. Not punted anywhere and I was the force behind getting many of my proposals implemented. Every other City Planning study before just remained on the shelf because the agency did nit believe it was their job to implement anything, but only to recommend. Then based on that excellent work involving much data collection, I was hired by the MTA to salvage the data that was previously sabotaged by temporary employees. The data was salvaged and many proposals were suggested but my boss didn't like them because they didn't incident a direct bus route from his house to the office so he would not have to stand on the subway in the morning. Yes, he really believed in data. Data that served him personally. When I wouldn't cave into his demands, yes I was transferred once to inventory control. I was transferred again after I told my superiors that the work was too boring for me. Then I spent three successful years in Contract. When I was offered a promotion and transfer from one of former bosses, my boss blocked the transfer for three months because I was too valuable for her because she didn't want to leave me. My next offer came from the Assistant to the Executive Vice President who I continued to work for my final 12 years until I retired, although I was not happy there either. Every time I tried to leave, he would block it and said to my face, "you will work for me until you retire.". And he turned out to be right. So your theory is entirely wrong because you are making wild assumptions and are not looking at facts or data. |
