That is why UPS's routing software is written to avoid left turns as much as possible.The UPS encourages drivers to make right turns, even where such turns are illegal. Case in point is downtown Flushing at the intersection of Kissena Blv, Main St and 41st Ave. UPS trucks going north on Kissena are instructed to turn right onto 41st Ave. Such turns are illegal and endanger pedestrians crossing 41st Ave with the signal. The only legal way to enter 41st Ave going eastbound is from Main St. |
