I've gotten "Pass OK" a number of times (with ordinary MetroCard, not even an easypay). It will either help you or leave you neutral. I have never lost a fare to it.Since I usually get that display after the farebox held my card for a while (as if trying to read it) my hypothesis is that the system was having a hard time reading the card but was able to figure out enough about it that it was valid for the ride and no attempt at evading fare was being made. That's just a hypothesis though. |
