1, 2. NICE operates buses on the Meadowbrook Parkway, which has some low overpasses between Freeport and Jones Beach. Keep in mind these are CNG buses that use this parkway. MTA buses use segments of the Belt Parkway, in particular, the B83 between Pennsylvania Avenue and Erskine Street. The winner for MTA buses operating on roads with narrow lanes and low overpasses is… the M66 and M72 through Central Park.

4. Buses won't use the parkway at that point as they need to make a stop at the Union Turnpike station. Under my "Myrtle/Woodhaven stop" proposal, the buses would be on Union Turnpike east of Woodhaven Boulevard If not, they''d be off the parkway at Metropolitan anyway.

The only alternative to the JRP I see would be to use Union Turnpike, Myrtle Avenue, Cooper Avenue, Cypress Hills Street, and Jamaica Avenue.
