Funnily enough, if you were making that same trip today, it would be easier, because Somerset County now operates two rush hour routes (the DASH 851/852) that run from Bridgewater Commons, through Somerville, and end in New Brunswick. There's also the CAT 1R, which leaves you at Highland & Hamilton, about a 20 minute walk from the New Brunswick train station. (That bus runs middays).I guess on a side note, I think there should be an 854 route, which would combine the lower part of the 853 with the upper part of the 851/852, providing an all-day connection between the two rail lines. |
