The problem isn't that the savings is only a relatively small amount of time, the problem is that they're ignoring those whose trips are now longer. (That, and the small amount of people who are missing buses that they would've otherwise caught because they were fumbling for a MetroCard, but that probably only takes a minute off the average savings. It's probably fair to assume that people barely missing the bus make up less than 1/6 of the total passengers). |
