Forest west of South still has very little development. You have a movie theater, Home Depot, and a few houses, and maybe a little bit of industry on the side streets, but that's about it.In the 1969 map on nycsubway.org, IIRC, the R107 ran along Forest Avenue and ended at Howland Hook. Sometime between 1969 and 1977, it was rerouted to end at the Mariners' Harbor Houses (Grandview & Brabant). Then later on, the S40 was rerouted via South Avenue & Forest Avenue to better serve Mariners' Harbor, the S48 was extended to Holland Avenue & Benjamin Place, and the S46 was extended to Grandview & Forest. Then in 1995 I believe, the S46 was extended to the WSP via the Teleport. Also, the S4 was the S59, not the S44. The S102 was the S44. |
