I've seen a bus driver only open the rear door at Brighton Beach and Coney Island when everyone was crowded in the front of the bus. I believe he did it intentionally since no one got off. There were about 75 people at the bus stop and no other bus in sight. About 20 got on. What is someone supposed to do under those conditions? Everyone was coming from the subway so no money was lost. They really need a dispatcher there in the mornings to officially allow rear door boarding. |
