They SHOULD RESTORE more than they are..they did virtually nothing for the subway except keep a service that by all terms of common sense should have been already operating for years!Removing the 44s from service...dumping hundreds of rail cars BEFORE PROPER REPLACEMENTS were purchased[OR REBUILT] practically SEALED our present service constraints for the foreseeable future until the R179 cars are delivered...And even then..there MIGHT BE some issues due to the "linking" of the equipment. The MTA dug a deep hole for itself..basically the 70's all over again. |
