I still remember the last Manhattan bound bus at 3PM ish (the QM10 had a "late bird" as well)... it's not really fair to say those afternoon runs to Manhattan were wasteful, though. Once they got to Manhattan the buses would become outbound runs. Triboro (at the time) was probably thinking that if depot is in Queens and the bus is needed in Manhattan, may as well pick up some passengers along the way and make the route more valuable. |
