The 2-door artic is a mistake from the standpoint of passenger movement and dwell time and stops. Fortunately NYC has realized this and gone to a 3-door plan with its newer Nova artics. Glad to see Septa breaking the Flyer monopoly in Philadelphia. The Nova is easily the smartest-looking American transit bus since the RTS and Flxible Metro. They get my vote because they are wonderfully quiet in operation, and they have rear windows, which transit buses have been sorely missing since the age of the new looks. |
