The regional infrastructure does not exist to support such a program. Do you think the Staten Island Expressway and Cross Bronx Expressway are sufficient to deal with all the regional traffic crossing Manhattan? Until the regional powers provide all the mass transit that is needed, the car is still a viable and necessary component of the system. |
