When Millennium submitted their original bid to NJT in 2004, they had not assembled a single unit. NJT's Neoplans are a complete custom design that's not only 2 feet shorter than the normal AN460, but has a longer front section as well. If DL can deliver 76 45-footers in the timeframe specified by the request, they're more than welcome to offer a proposal. DL is probably aware of what happened with the Orion VI order (and if not, they should be), so if NJT rejects them for any reason, they'll be sold to someone else. |
