Guys (and Ladies),

What you don't realize is that by looking at the possible scenarios, there isn't that many routes in eastern Queens to choose from...especially after the budget cuts. You have the Q12, Q30, Q36 and Q46 to play with here. I'm not couting the express buses (QM3 and QM5/QM8) However with that being said, here's my suggestion (and please bare with me as this would be like "WTF?" but that's what you get when people don't ride the Q79!)

The Q12 SHOULD be extended to Little Neck L.I.R.R. Station. Make the left on Little Neck Pkwy from Northern Blvd and use the saem turn-a-round as the Q79 did (you think the MTA would come up with this after creating a Q15A!) For service along Northern Blvd between Little Neck Pkwy and the City Line...N20/N21. For now! Meaning, I'd make the N20/N21 start the "open-door" policy at Little Neck Pkwy going eastbound.
(You know, I never understood Glenwood St and Northern Blvd for a termination...UGH! That's just my opinion)

The Q30...LEAVE AS IS! That route is TOO long as is and also VERY dependable to people getting to Jamaica Station (like my mother who works at Queensborough Community College...and others who go to school there). Adding another 10 minutes or so in either direction on the Q30 and you will start seeing that "Q30 Springfield Blvd" sign appear more often.

The Q36 I can see this one and I think someone had suggested this as well. The Q36 SHOULD go to Glen Oaks (Union Tpke and 260th St). Follow the Q46 to 73rd Av, go through Glen Oaks. First stop at Union Tpke and 260th St. Then on Union Tpke and left on southbound Little Neck Pkwy to Floral Park and regular. Hey, they got that "Q36 LIMITED" so that would help AND short trips COULD be at Queens Village L.I.R.R. Station OR Braddock Av by the Q1.

Therefore the Q46 (and again some of mentioned this) SHOULD be extended to Horace Harding Expwy and Little Neck Pkwy.

I think that with those ideas that were suggested in this thread SHOULD satisfy residents. Now, the next problem...headway times.
