White is used (on buses) because it is easier to apply and cheaper to maintain (I just read that a few days ago)..makes for some pretty "anemic"-looking buses! Yes, I loved the old PTC colors, and LOVED the early SEPTA colors.....that gold scheme looked great on the Fishbowls and Flx New Looks and I used to really love those "Gulf Oil" colors on the PCCs....sharp! |
