GM was hurting in RTS sales at that time. A NYC order was a shot in the arm. They lost the big one to Grumman. So odd that there was a large order just waiting for the Grummans to be pulled. If GM was as backed up with RTS orders as they would have liked, NYC's RTSs would have taken MUCH longer to arrive.jrc |
