According to the Motor Coach Age issue on Brooklyn (June-July 1975), the B64 was extended to Shore Road on 5/1/49 and then cut back to Fourth Avenue on 2/26/50.Here is some info. on the missing numbers - B73 Nortons Point Shuttle - 3/20/33 to 11/1/47 when it was combined with B36. B76 Ulmer Park Shuttle - 12/18/46 to 3/4/47. B78 78th/80th Street (Jamaica Avenue to Liberty Avenue) - 12/4/39 to 1/18/40. No 80 or 81 are shown in the route descriptions. I too liked the little red books but also found them to be sometimes inaccurate or out-of-date. |
