The passengers have largely understood the system ever since these routes started some 40 years ago...]You're explicitly assuming that the same passengers (and ONLY those passengers) have ridden those routes since 1970. Are you really sure that no new people have moved into the area since then? Of course, the multiple labels also means that real estate brokers selling homes off Union Turnpike can now truthfully claim that their properties are served by five express routes (QM1,5,6,7,8) instead of just two routes (QM1,1A). Maybe THAT was the motivator? |
