The 178 has dropped from 30 minute service middays to 60 minute service. The 186 has cut schedules and dropped the route 4 express. The R&T 11C was hourly middays in 1994, it's now every 2 hours. Those NJT routes are not directly affected by the Route 4 minibuses, and the 11C leaves the highway in Teaneck anyway.Meanwhile, 167 service has increased notably... as I mentioned, in 1982, there were 36 trips out of the PABT between 3:30 and 7. In 1997, it was 45. In 2010, it's 54. $3.40 (NJT)/$3.35 (R&T) from Teaneck to the GWB, or $3.40 to the PABT that doesn't require the extra $2.25 of the A train? If your money is tight, that's a very easy decision. As for 40/171 service... (number change was 1983) 1982 - 15 minutes rush hours, 30 minutes midday 1998 - 10-15 minutes rush, 30 minutes midday 2010 - 30 minutes rush, 40-45 minutes midday |
