I forgot to qualify the asterisk...the Phoenix city bus system was on-again/off-again city-owned, however up until the 1960s, there were several private companies providing bus service. The city sold the system in 1959, and reclaimed it in 1971. This is when the pink and orange scheme with "Tico" was adopted. |
