I have a feeling they might want to get rid of that portion entirely in the future. Just start short-turning more local buses at DeKalb (whether officially on the schedule, or unofficially by the dispatchers), and eventually you'll get ridership down to the point where you could justify eliminating the service (or maybe replacing it with an extended B47 or something if enough people are going west of Flushing Avenue)

I remember a thread on NYCTF where somebody mentioned being kicked off a bus (at DeKalb) originally signed as going to WBP, and then having to wait like 35 minutes for an actual bus to WBP.

FWIW, I remember the on/off data that showed that north of DeKalb, the busiest stops were Myrtle, Flushing, Marcy, and WBP itself. Myrtle & Flushing are served by the B47, and Flushing & Marcy are ADA accessible. If they could use federal BRT funds to make Kosciusko Street ADA accessible as part of the +SBS+ project, then you basically solve the whole problem.
