Awesome, so we "leave", these jackasses come down from the hills, and they run right into whatever special forces are left behind as "advisors" to the Afghani military. I'd be willing to bet the Afghani air force would likely be quite amenable to having the USAF (or some contractor thereof) continue to provide air traffic control services to their countries, including routine navigation patrols of their country. If a JDAM or SDB should happen to pop off one of those aircraft in the course of those overflights and it should happen to land on one of the resurgent Taliban outposts then such is life, right? |
