The conductor was acting out of order. The conductor has the right to tell him to stop filming (and even that is a grey area, considering he was doing something perfectly legal) or to get away from the window in order to protect the engineer (some of the M1/3's have sliders on the front seat that say RESTRICTED AREA), and the conductor has the right to kick him off the train, but the conductor has NO RIGHT to confiscate anything from the customers which is their own property. Even a police officer wouldn't legally be able to take his tape, unless it was related to a crime. NEVER willfully give over any of your own property unless you never want to see it again. |
