I remember this back when I lived in NY. 3 or 4 kids (possibly more) would come on the train, and accompanied by the "showtime" announcement, would put on their music, and go into dance/flip routines.First time I saw this was 2 years ago on an E train going to Jamaica Center. |

SMH! |

In fact, years ago one guy came into the car and asked for money to buy a bottle of vodka and his money bottle was a vodka bottle with the neck broken off. I gave him $1 for his creativity. |

I was on an R160 F train and I nearly took a foot to my face and if I didn't block my face I would have gotten his foot in my face. When I blocked his foot it threw him off course and he fell to the floor. He was not happy but I just looked at him and said sorry I didn't want your foot in my face. Haven't seen them since on an R160 train, but seen them on R46 R trains. |

And the jazz player from Mars with a set of fuzzy balls springing from his hair or hat. And the guy who went around with a donkey suit on while strolling the cars for money.Interesting days. Mike |

I will never forget this guy at the Queens Bound level of the 6th Ave & 53rd Street station on the 5th ave side who supposedly had no legs. I was 14 saw him as I was coming down the stairs as he was below in his wheelchair and collecting $$. I felt bad for him and gave him $1 or $2 and right after I did this cop came over. He grabbed the guy from under his arms and started to pull him up and I started out of anger and shock screaming at the cop to leave him alone and stop the police brutality, but I soon shut up when the guys legs fell out from under him and he was able to stand on his legs. The cop reached into the guys cup took my $$ back out and gave it back to me and told me to not always believe what I see as many are fakes. The guy's chair had a secret bottom that hid his legs whihih were folded in a way to make his knees look like stumps. From that day on I am always skeptical now. |

"Prolly" because most know to avoid the conductor's car. :)Used to be different when the conductor had to stand outside the cab and could look down the trainline and see the shens instead of being locked in the closet. |
