And just so you know, this video was first mentioned as a response in this thread, so yeah, it took me that long for me to get it on to some easily sharable medium.

WOW! Great stuff! Makes me want to run over to Myrtle and Wyckoff and catch the L train.... I am embarrassed to say it's been about 4 YEARS since I have been on the L train west of Myrtle..... Used to be my daily line.....

Very nice videos.

You can see the old connection to the Bay Ridge branch at New Lots

Lots of memories of BMT standards laboring uphill in the 14th St. tunnel, gear pitch dropping steadily.

Of course the northbound route between Sutter and Atlantic Aves. via the Snediker El no longer exists. In no way am I suggesting that the first video needs updating as I appreciate the effort put into all three videos.

But at least the upper half of the RFW could sometimes be opened allowing a cool breeze to flow through the car. Of course the RFW were usually so dirty on those cars they weren't too useful. Of course those old cars had unique character sadly lacking in today's hermetically sealed computer controlled wonders...be thankful we have the NYTM.

The first Video brings back memories from the Old crossover leaving CNR to the old S curver leaving Sutter. They were already bulding the tracks into ALT and BWJ at the time your video was made. I was working the L 4 days when the Conection was made. The other day was on the J or M depending on the pick.

Nice to see the old Snediker Avenue approach.

I figured you were preparing for your original (L) BVE route, since you were reciting signals and wayside signs for the video.

What happened at Third Avenue?

That's obviously, since it shows Atlantic Avenue when the northbound portion still stopped on the old Snediker Avenue platform.

Yes, the original L line skeleton route for BVE was based on this video.

As for Third Avenue… Let's just say that some people can be so immature.
