It basically provides the station with almost all it's meager ridership. The town of Lebanon itself is a good walk away, down a very steep slope (the station itself is HARD to reach on foot because of this). |

It's hard to get to this station from downtown Lebanon itself.It's not a subway station, so I wouldn't expect much in the way of walking passengers in an exurban commuter rail station that doesn't even run 1 tph off-peak. FWIW, I'd argue that the station cachement area is depressed due to the giant park and reservoir just south of the station. I suspect if NJT becomes really bored, they may consider closing it and telling the locals to go to White House. Of course, one is tempted to argue if driving on I-78 or US 22 to Raritan is simply a prudent alternative... |
