I did a Google image search of the word, "PUTZ" and your picture is the #1 result. You have some very serious issues, sir, with the way you deal with people. I'd be amazed if you could maintain a serious relationship in the real world. |

How is it that the NICTD 'South Shore' line is "The One Remaining Interurban", despite being a commuter railroad which solely serves suburbs of Chicago (and cities which have always been suburbs of Chicago), yet you use that same metric to disqualify the DART system? |

The 'more famous' interurbans may have operated that far, but they make up a tiny minority of systems. The vast majority of interurban properties covered much less ground and their equipment was much closer to what today is an LRT than what the South Shore has ever operated. |

No sharing of tracks with FRA rail, and it's no bait.Interesting, given that track sharing with mainline applications is not an essential feature of a Stadtbahn. Our friends in Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Stuttgart, Hannover, Duisberg, Essen, and Dortmund may have some concerns about your sentiment. Even in the case of Köln, the system was a stadtbahn before its connection to Bonn. FWIW, it's impossible to build a real tram-train in the United States (and Canada) because the only vehicle that can comply with FRA regs is a full-blown train, and running a Silverliner V in the middle of the street does not constitute a tram. Hell, the GTW 2/6s aren't really trams either... |

Only goes to show the non-standard descriptor that „Stadtbahn“ is (literally "city railway"). Even "interurban" encompasses more description and characteristics. |

Great question, Will! The predecessor to the CSS&SB was the Chicago, Lake Shore and South Bend Railway. It ran from Michigan City to South Bend, two distinct municipalities. After going into receivership and being purchased by the CSS&SB in 1925, a 1926 change in power system change allowed for operations to Randolph Street Station in Chicago. So back in the day, the CSS&SB ran between two municipalities, one of which was not considered a suburb of Chicago. And certainly, Michigan City and South Bend did not consider themselves to be suburbs of each other. |

There are seven Texas Roadhouses in New York (the only area one is in East Meadow on Hempstead Turnpike in Nassau County), three in New Jersey and two in Connecticut (in West Haven not too far from the Branford Trolley Museum); check their website for addresses. The trip is worth it, in my opinion. |

I watched them fuel it from a typical home oil type truck. |
