Redbird reefing again |
|
Posted by R42 4787 on Tue Apr 20 18:57:26 2010 It appears Redbird reefing has resumed, this time with R33 WF 9339 on the latest NYCSubway.org photos:I'm not getting this. I'd assumed all the R33 WFs were safe from scrap, being work motors (except 9321). Is there a reason why more World's Fair cars are been scrapped again? |

You don't know your St Louis Crap then. :)Looks like a nice battery box event since the grids don't look toasted. But there was definitely a weenie roast undercar ... |

They should have sent 9339 to Boise and have it rebuilt by MPI into a cowl-body diesel work switcher. MPI does a hell good job making nice rebuilds from crap, such as NJT's new MP20 switchers from the aging GP40FH units that were fairly unreliable in their later years. |
