Posted by Train Man Paul : Metro-North's Best Conductor FOR ALL 3 LINES!!! on Tue Mar 9 16:41:24 2010 As MNR Track Department work "their live long day" at CP 3 yesterday, Track 4, keeping things ship shape, the flow of trains just keeps on comin'!!!Let's take a gander...... The MNR Track Department work crew on Track 4, with a Plasser American Track Stabilizer and Plasser American Ballast Tamper, as the remnants of old "Nick" (NK) Tower stands on in the background...... ![]() And the flow of trains comes along, north and south bound!!...... Out of the Park Avenue Tunnel...... ![]() Crossin' Over!!...... ![]() Comin' straight into the Park Avenue Tunnel...... ![]() Up close!!..... ![]() Following right in the footsteps...... ![]() And along comes yet another follower...... ![]() One pops out...... ![]() And a plethora of trains comes...... ![]() More M-7As...... ![]() Kickin' "The Red" over...... ![]() In Yo' Face, sucka!!! :-D ![]() Nice day for a hike, I guess!! :-D ![]() Bringin' in the Trash!! (No, not MNR passengers!! :-D) Empty trash train returns from BN Yard (Between Marble Hill and University Heights, the ol' Putnam Division yard) ![]() ![]() ![]() Pair 'O' Bombs...... ![]() ![]() ![]() And finally a rather pink-lookin' "Red" exits the tunnel..... ![]() Crossed over..... ![]() And on its way!!...... ![]() And now so are we!!! Thank you for coming along!! Hope you all enjoyed....'cuz it's juuuuuuuuust 'nother day on the Railroad, all in a days' work!! :-D |

I only wish the signals would have been there, and the original NORAC-style wayside signal system all over the system (of course except the MBS, Manual Block System, zones) had never been removed in place of the cab signals. Would have been plenty colorful if the signal bridge here all lit up with "Stops", "Restrictings", "Approach Mediums" and such. |
