Posted by Wado MP73 on Mon Feb 8 11:14:10 2010 Koito Industries, the company who brought us FIND to the R160 is better known in Japan as a manufacturer of passenger seats for airplanes and trains (including Shinkansen).Today they admitted that they've been altering safety test results for airplane seats since the mid-nineties, after an insider alerted the transport ministry. It makes you wonder if they haven't been doing the same for train seats... Transport ministry warns manufacturer over faked safety data |
