Rebuilt only. The outer shell will stay, the interior and running components will change. So this is what I heard, anyway.

Cool, I like the looks of the cars but was just thinking they are getting up in age.

Glad to see PATCO will just rebuild vs buying new cars :)

WMATA should have copied PATCO instead of BART.

YES! Now THAT'S transit at its best!

Great shot - was that taken today? If so, I'm surprised to see so much snow fall over there before night fall! It didn't really start snowing around here in Montgomery County, PA, until around 7 or 8 PM.

Nope....Saturday 2/6. As of now the snow has started falling again here in Marlton NJ, so I'll be going out for some more of this :o)

I lived in Reading PA up until 2005, & I actually miss WALKING to Reading Yard. Now I gotta drive about 8 miles. This was about a mile from where I lived:

Possibly, but it's kind of water under the bridge now. But yeah, WMATA gets snow and San Francisco doesn't, and when you copy a system not designed for snow...

Well we each have our tastes. I like them but hate the look of the M8's and R143/R160s. To each to his/her own I guess
