As I keep saying, there are NO restrictions on amateur photography on the property of any transit system in the United States* as long as you are following all the rest of the legal rules and regulations of those transit agencies. It doesn't matter if they have a photography policy posted or not. All that matters is if they have a legal rule on the books restricting photography. And no one does, except possibly PATH. NYCT has one on the books, but it specifically permits photography. Thought it's not needed, since if it wasn't there, photography would still be permitted. NJT tried to put one on the books to restrict photography, but they backed out of it.*except PATH |

Thank goodness you're not in a position to actually make a difference with transportation policy. But G-d help the people on your train. I would fear for my life with someone like you in charge. Make sure you announce over the PA that you are "7th Avenue Express" so I'll know to get the hell off the train if I'm ever on it. |

On the west coast I have never been hassled about taking pictures. In fact employees offer me to take pictures of the cab or tell me where to go to get a cab ride permit. They know that the generally hippie population wouldn't stand for "the man" telling them where they can or cannot record things. |
