About 2 years ago, 2 Shoreliner I cars with more than half the windows in each knocked out!! The glass was still on the platform at Ossining up to a week and half later. Hell, there were even people who were not Latin Kings or Bloods getting involved simply because of the seeming racial nature, Black Vs Hispanic!! And the train had to swap equipment at Harmon, and here people left in one of two ways, either in an ambulance or in a police cruiser!!! Try Yanks fans Vs Red Sox fans, 11:22PM train to New Haven, also 2 years ago, kicked off (no pun intended) right after the train left South Norwalk and went on until police could literally storm the train at Fairfield. Here are some choice battles in that fray: Scrap #1 : Skinny, 5'7"-5'10", about 140-160 Lbs white dude vs 6'3"-6'5", "COMPLETE WALL OF MUSCLE" Black Dude (Me, I am muscle +Dominos Pizza, this guy my height, and 260 Lbs of ALL muscle) Result....white guy get lifted off the ground with one hand, choke slammed on top of a 3-seater and choked unconscious!! Scrap #2 : Another skinny "wannabe boxer" white dude vs an ACTUAL boxer white dude....didn't last long, the ACTUAL boxer immediately finished the wannabe with a stiff-arm right hook, splitting his nose right open and crumbling him to the ground into an unconscious heap....nose bone literally thru the skin!! The rest were just mob beatdowns, several catfights since even women were involved in this one!! Both mentioned fights resulted in people, yet again, leaving one of two ways, either in handcuffs in a police cruiser, or (for the unlucky ones) unconscious and bleeding, or conscious and bleeding, and onto a gurney and off in an ambulance!! These aren't even a fraction of the witnessed drama I can speak of in 11 years total of MTA passenger rail service!!! |

Both times that I've seen guys fight on the blue line in LA the T/O left the station after one group got off the train. The second time he he went two stops before meeting the police and with the police inspected the train and then took it out of service because of the blood. |

Do you know what the Conductor was doing? So before you come to half assed conclusions based on a youtube video lets wait for the whole story to come out. Odds are the Conductor was calling control for the police and once he saw an opportunity to separate the herd he took the shot to end the fight get to the next station and get EMS there. It'd be harder to render assistance with the fight going on or more people getting involved. The conductor also shouldn't intervene in the fight because who knows who could've put out a weapon and all of sudden the conductor is dead, much help he or she could've done if they're dead or injured. |

Clearasshole,I never said that the conductor should intervene. But the altercation was serious enough to wait for police, especially since it's obvious it happened right at his/her position. Stop trolling, and look at the video. Holding lights are right there, so this happened right in front of the conductor. |

Now that I have seen all the posts up to the present time, I can say that the lady who tried to break up the fight should have stayed out of it and let the dudes who were fighting maim themselves on the platform if that was their intent. The most she should have done was to alert the C/R who could have radioed control that there was an altercation at 138/3 and let the police respond. |

In addition, there was an almost catastrophy on a plane on Christmas. This is the exact reason why I have called for video surveillance cameras on every single subway car to greatly reduce the possible from this occurring in the future. This is where street smarts vs good conscience comes into play.The good conscience is not to let people get into an altercation that would get both men locked up, becoming statistics and ruining their lives. People with big hearts tend to want to protect people from themselves in this case, although they may never learn. The street smart way is minding your business and moving to the other end of the car like the other people did. Sadly, Street Smarts were proven to be most effective in this case. Kudos to Mr. Baldhead for helping the woman with her nose, but major demerits for the young dude for breaking her nose in the first place and hitting a woman who wasn't fighting him. |
