I subscribe to a paging service and I saw the job get sent out. It was towards the tail end of the commute when the victim was struck and pronounced DOA on scene. Happened at 7 Av station on the Culver Line [(F)/(G)] at around 8:30 or so. |

The military/international/aviation phonetic alphabet designates "Foxtrot" for "F", FWIW.I will agree that to the outsider (a fair number of us on this board), that did sound like a strange term to use. |

Fox is used by RTO on the radio everyday, they do not use the correct "Foxtrot" only Fox.I've heard Frank used but much less often. |

I figured that was how it was done, and that was what I was kind of complaining about, not people here using it, which is correct if that's what RTO does. |

Set Material Condition Yolk Throughout the Ship!Hatches and doors have an X, Y, or a Z on them. Z hatches are always closed unless you are actually using the hatch. X hatches are usually open unless the ship is at general quarters. Y hatches are generally usually closed, but permission from damage control central may authorize them to be open. When the quartermaster pipes down the command to Check the Setting of Material Condition Yolk, the person responsible for that space must close the hatch, take his permit tag back to damage control central, and check it in and out again. Then he may reopen said hatch. ROAR |
