The New R1 |
|
|
Posted by rionOne on Fri Nov 20 00:08:11 2009 ...or at least R160-A2 #9299 likes to think it is.![]() The funny part is that the screen wasn't stuck, but when it would play the R160 Introduction video, it would only say its "The New R1" instead of the "The New R160", but everything else was fine. -Trevor www.ttmg.org |

Dunno if you're aware of what B52's are really like ... they wrinkle a lot when airborne ... the airframe feels like it has the consistency of balloon boy's aviation. :) |

Well with today's MDBF report of the R160s breaking over a half a million miles between catastrophic failures, I'd say the R160 is breaking records, unless someone can correct me, I don't know of any other subway car that has broke that kinda mileage before.-Trevor |

By the way, and going off-tanget just a bit, everytime I hear The B-52's "Love Shack" on 'CBS-FM, I automatically think of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and Brad Sherwood, who I believe he does a better singing impersonation that the lead singer of the group itself. Just my opinion, though...-William A. Padron ["The Points Don't Matter..."] |

R160s have the advantage of years worth of improvements and technologies to make it run as good as it should.Sure it's too bright, the FIND doesn't always work, seats sucks, and of course the full width cab blocks the rfw. But aside from those, you can't deny that they are doing the job they are supposed to do: moving people from point a to b with minimal mechanical failures. |
