from @NYCSubwayScoop:
RT @MetroCardMatt: Attn Press! Photo-op Thurs. 11/19, 10am @ WTC (E) at Chambers St. Nostalgia Train to Rockefeller Ctr. Meet a Rockette!

So it's essentially the same run as last year: WTC to Rockefeller Center, with a couple of Rockettes on board.

Give my regards to those old timers. Maybe eight of them will be out and about. Anyone planning to videotape the run from the RFW?

My tax dollars hard at work once again. That's right the R9s are more important than this kid's education. But maybe you are right judging by what I see coming out of the NYC public schools. Hey kid, enjoy the ride and take some photos for us while you are at it.

I'm looking at the train right now, and from what I can tell, the Arnine consist is eight cars long. Difficult to identify the individual cars (with the obvious exception of 1575, which is third from the north end). The train is parked behind the barn, so no chance of viewing it from the #1 line. One thing's for sure, I wish that I brought binoculars and I wish there was a walkway on the north side of this bridge! Anyway, from what I can tell, here's what I think the consist is, judging from a recent photo I took prior to posting this message.

S|381, 1000, 1802, 401, 1300, 1575, 484, 100|N

An interesting unrelated observation: From a distance, R40/42 cars with their end bonnets removed look a lot like R160s.

If that is the correct numbers of that consist, that would be five RPC-owned with the three NYTM R-1/9's coupled together in that way. This could probably be the initial arrangement should the Vintage Holiday Special runs, if it actually does, starts up again.

And with R-7A #1575 really sticking it out with its brighter exterior paint scheme and streamlined design amongst the other R-1/9's coupled together. This all seen on a cloudy day, no doubt.

They've done that a few times. It's great symbolism - the Alpha and Omega of the fleet at the points.
